The project has discovered 24 new surfing breaks and more than20 remotes sites have been surveyed by Reef Check teams of pro surfers and marine scientists.
To date 72 surfers/passengers have participated in 11 two-week trips on The Crossing. This includes six-time world surfing champion Kelly Slater, four-time world champion Lisa Andersen, Mick Campbell and former two-time world champion Tom Carroll, plus seven photographers/cinematographers, four journalists and four marine biologists.

Here you can see daily reports and slide shows documenting the progress of the Indies Trader. There is information about the trip, the boat, the Reef checks, surfers' journals, daily captain's log, a bulletin board and all the current news from on-board the Indies Trader on-line.
