Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 27 April, 2009 : - - Tom Butler is 20 years old and hails from Newquay, Cornwall. With his dad being a lifeguard and his mum having a passion for sunbathing, Tom spent a lot of his time at the beach. Having first jumped on a body board at the age of 6 Tom progressed to riding a short board when he was 11.

Five times British Junior Champion, and now English National Champion, Tom can still be found at his local spot; Watergate Bay in Newquay, Cornwall, where he grew up. Tom’s other sponsors include: Hurley, Lost Surfboards and Skull Candy.
