Gorilla signs Brazilian wonder kid Adriano De Souza

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 23 October, 2007 : - - Surf Hardware International is pleased to announce the signing of Brazilian Adriano De Souza in an exclusive deal to ride Gorilla Tail Pads. At just 20 years of age Adriano has an amazing competition record that includes a World Junior Title and a World Qualifying Series Title. His explosive and progressive style of surfing is comparable to the likes of Taj Burrow, Andy Irons and the great Kelly Slater.

Adriano joins the Gorilla team during his second year of WCT competition. With more experience and some impressive results under his belt Adriano is now looking to climb the ratings and solidify his position as one of the worlds best. He has been labelled by many as a future world title contender and carries the future of Brazilian surfing on his shoulders.

On signing the agreement Adriano stated, “I’m really happy to have the support from Gorilla, I love using tail pads on my boards and I’m also stoked to have my own signature model”.

Adriano’s signature tail pad will soon be released to the market globally. He joins the impressive Gorilla team of surfers with their own signature pads including Ozzie Wright, Luke Stedman, Adrian Buchan, Asher Pacey and Rebecca Woods. Gorilla’s range of signature tail pads feature design elements that meet the needs and requirements of each individual surfer.

Gorilla, formally known as Gorilla Grip, is positioned at the forefront of design, fashion and functionality within the grip market and will soon be expanding it’s offering to include a range of other surf related products.

As the agreement was signed SHI brand ambassador Richie Lovett said, “Adriano is not only one of the most exciting surfers in the world he has a great personality and a really casual attitude.
