De Souza wins riding the FCS II Essential Series Carver large template

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 24 April, 2015 -  San Diego, California - After a victory in the Margaret River Pro in Western Australia, Brazilian Adriano De Souza has claimed the number one position on the WSL men’s ratings and the prestigious yellow jersey.

Riding the FCS II Essential Series Carver large template in Performance Core Carbon construction Ado surfed to his strengths in the final laying down some monster carves and nailing critical floaters to beat Jon Jon Florence.

The Margaret River Pro was plagued with solid waves and Adriano was one of the standout surfers who consistently dropped excellent scores as the event shifted between The Main Break and The Box.

“The ocean has so much power and energy in West Oz so I switched from my signature medium fin to the FCS II Carver large template. That fin has a lot of control and is perfect for driving hard off the bottom and carving long turns on the open face”, said an excited Adriano when asked about his equipment.

Adriano goes into the next event in Brazil sitting in the number one position, and given his current form, must be considered a serious contender for this year’s WSL World Title.

As the dust settles on the Australian leg of the tour the tally now sits at 22 WCT wins and 5 WSL World Titles won by surfers riding the FCS II system and fins.
