Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 28 December, 2006 : - - The Latin American Surfing Association Technical Committe have decided to make the following changes to improve and held a more competitive 2007 Latin and Caribbean Tour: More events with more cash; Man on man heats; Juniors become Pro Juniors.

More events with more cash prizes
In addition to the already classic Latin and Caribbean Tour events at Argentina, Peru, Chile, Ecuador, Panama, Costa Rica, Venezuela, Puerto Rico and Barbados. We´re in process of confirmation to held events at Guadalupe, Guatemala and México.  The cash prizes of the six star events are now going to be US$ 17.500 and the five stars will deliver US$ 15.000. Events with fewer stars will remain with the same money prizes.

Man to Man heats
All the Open division contests will be defined in Man to Man heats. The contest will begin with four man heats and with eight competitors remaining; the format will change to Man to Man. Another priority criteria will be used.

Juniors are going to be Pro Juniors
The Junior division is now Pro Junior, all the Under 20 surfers are going to be able to compete in this division.
