ANGELO LOZANO WILL AIM TO CONQUER THE COASTAL EDGE ECSC presented by VANS

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 22 August, 2011 : - - After coming up in 5th place at the Arica Pro Challenge, the Mexican Angelo Lozano heads out to Virginia to compete in another ASP event, the COASTAL EDGE ECSC presented by VANS. This tournament will take place in Virginia Beach, Virginia (USA) from the 22nd to the 28th of August and because it is a 4-star event it will have USD $85,000 in prizes.

Before reaching Virginia, Angelo is spending some time in California to practice with his new quiver from Linden Surfboards. The experimented Gary Linden is in charge of every one of Angelo’s boards, and together they have taken the podium several times.

“I bumped into a couple of friends today at Trestles, Maya Gabeira was one of them, and he asked me why was I in California when right now Puerto is so great… Bummer, what can I say? It’s the price to pay to come test new better boards and go to tournaments. I hope all the guys in Puerto right now are enjoying it”, posted the charger in his facebook profile.

This will be the 49th edition of the COASTAL EDGE ECSC presented by VANS and amongst the competitors are Andrew Doheny (USA), Nathaniel Curran (USA), Roy Powers (Hawaii), Balaram Stack (USA) and Dylan Graves (Puerto Rico). Angelo will represent Mexico alongside Dylan Southworth in this important event of the ASP WST in the East Coast.
