Quiksilver & Roxy Pros get ABC Sports broadcast 

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 21 March, 2014 - Held at the world-class venue of Snapper Rocks, the Quiksilver and Roxy Pro Gold Coast presented by BOQ hosted the world's best surfers in their opening campaigns for the 2014 ASP World Title. ABC Sports and the World of X-Games are bringing all the action from the opening stop to US television audiences this Saturday.

On the men's side, reigning three-time ASP World Champion Mick Fanning led a field that included global icons Kelly Slater, Adriano de Souza, Joel Parkinson, Jordy Smith, Taj Burrow and C.J. Hobgood as well as up-and-comers John John Florence, Gabriel Medina, Nat Young, Miguel Pupo and Mitch Crews.

Reigning two-time ASP Women's World Champion Carissa Moore led a bevy of the world's best female surfers that included Stephanie Gilmore, Lakey Peterson, Sally Fitzgibbons, Courtney Conlogue, Tyler Wright, Bianca Buitendag, Malia Manuel and more.

US fans can tune in to ABC this Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 3pm ET / 1pm PST to watch the world's best surfers showcase their talents on the Australia's Gold Coast.

The next stop on the 2014 Samsung Galaxy ASP World Championship Tour, the Drug Aware Margaret River Pro, begins on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 and will be webcast LIVE on aspworldtour.com.
