Cooper headed to France for final
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 3 March, 2010 : - - North Narrabeen surfer Cooper Chapman will represent Australia at the Quiksilver King of the Groms World Final in France after claiming victory in the Australian leg at Snapper Rocks on Friday.
Running in conjunction with the Quiksilver and Roxy Pro Trials, Chapman joined Tyler Wright (Lennox Head) and Blake Ainsworth (Coolangatta) on the winners dias, defeating Torquays Harry Mann, Margaret Rivers Creed McTaggart and Lennox Heads Mikey Wright.
Post final, Chapman said he was buzzing after taking down some of the countrys best junior sufers. Its was all-time, said Chapman. It was such an experience competing in an event that was running as part of the Quiksilver Pro. There were loads of people just cheering on the beach It felt unreal!
In winning the final, Chapman surfed away with a return trip for himself and a chaperone to the Quiksilver King of the Groms World Final at the Quiksilver Pro France with accommodation and airport services supplied.
The opening ASP Mens World Tour event will be staged in conjunction with the upgraded US $100,000 Roxy Pro on the southern end of the Gold Coast, the opening event of the 2010 ASP Womens World Tour. The Quiksilver Pro is presented by LAND ROVER and proudly supported by Corona, Jetstar, Olympus, GCCC, CSGC, Moreton hire, Telstra, Coastalwatch & RBSLSC.
