The Feed's short film breaks down gay surfer taboo

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 3 June, 2014 - Australian news and current affairs television program, The Feed, released a new short documentary featuring an insight into what it is like to be an openly gay male surfer.

The documentary seaks to break down the taboo of homosexuality in surfing. Three Australian surfers share their story in the short film titled, "Caught Inside: The Taboo Of Being A Gay Surfer".

"The word faggot has been a derogatory term for I guess what we [in the surfing world] would call a loser," one surfer in the above video notes. "It's sad, in a sense, because where it's come from is calling gay people losers."
