Adaptive Surf Coaching Clinic to run as well

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 17 May, 2017 - A larger than ever field of talented Adaptive surfers are expected to turn out when once again the far north coast of New South Wales plays host to the second annual nudie Australian Adaptive Surfing Titles between June 24-25th, 2017.

nudie continues their support of the event that will include an Adaptive Surf Coaching Clinic on Saturday the 24th of June at the Hurley Surfing Australia High Performance Centre (HPC) before competition proper begins on Sunday the 25th in the Tweed Shire.

“We are thrilled to be continuing our partnership with Surfing Australia again this year,” said Georgina Crawford, Brand Manager nudie™.

“Encouraging a healthier and happier Australia through the wonderful world of surfing and community-minded programs aligns so nicely with nudie’s mission of creating good, wherever we go, with whatever we do. We have received such a positive response from our Surfing Australia-related content – especially the posts showcasing the amazing adaptive surfing program. We love what Surfing Australia stands for – being real, progressive and trustworthy and can’t wait to continue having fun achieving this together.”

Defending nudie Australia Adaptive Surfing Champion and International Surfing Association (ISA) World Adaptive Surfing Champion Mark ‘Mono’ Stewart spoke of the importance of the event to adaptive athletes in Australia.

"I can't wait for the upcoming nudie Australian Adaptive Surfing Titles in June,” said Stewart.

“Over the past twelve months awareness for adaptive surfing has grown phenomenally and hopefully has reached many new potential participants. I’m really looking forward to helping the adaptive children and women at this year’s event too. Fingers crossed for some great fun and surf conditions.”

Further bolstering the growth of the event, Nortec will come on board as a new support sponsor of the 2017 nudie Australia Adaptive Surfing Titles.

Nortec is a for-purpose, results driven organisation delivering staffing, training, small business and community solutions across Northern NSW and South East Qld and has a history of supporting grass roots sporting events and organisations.

“We are extremely proud to be supporting an event that promotes our beautiful region as a world class surfing destination and we wish all the athletes the best in their performance for the Titles,” said Paul Bennett, CEO Nortec.

Results from competition on the Sunday will serve as a springboard for selection of Team Australia to compete at the International Surfing Association (ISA) World Adaptive Surfing Championships later in 2017.

“Surfing Australia is extremely passionate about the nudie Australia Adaptive Surfing Titles and we are thrilled to announce the new Support Partner Nortec,” said Surfing Australia CEO Andrew Stark.

“This event is true to our purpose to create a healthier and happier Australia through surfing and we are looking forward to a fantastic event in June. We appreciate the support of nudie and Nortec as valued partners of the event.”
