Puppies Hang Out at the Billabong-Surfer Girl Grommet Attack

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 25 July, 2014 - Kuta Beach, Bali - Last Sunday, the Bali Animal Welfare Association crew came to Kuta Beach to join in the Billabong-Surfer Girl Grommet Attack, bringing 3 cute puppies to share with the groms in between surfing their heats.

It was a big hit with kids and parents alike, and while the kids had a chance to play with the puppies the BAWA crew got to explain to the kids and the parents about all the great work they are doing to care for the animals in Bali.

At the end of the afternoon BAWA’s event coordinator Joza was all smiles, saying, “The people here were really stoked with the event today, playing with the puppies and asking questions.  They were really excited to see what we are doing.  We sold some merchandise, received some donations, and one of our puppies was adopted, so it was a great day.

Thanks to Billabong, Surfer Girl, and the ASC for letting us be part of this event.  We’re already looking forward to the next one in August!”
