Grom Atack back for 2015, first event at Sanur this month

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 9 May, 2015 - Bali, Indonesia - Billabong announced today the return of their Grommet Attack junior surfing series for 2015, which will see three events in three different locations organized in cooperation with local boardrider clubs, and includes junior competition in four divisions; 16 and Under Boys, 16 and Under Girls, 14 and Under Boys, and a Push-in Division.

As part of Billabongs ongoing commitment to support local surfing communities, all events will be free of charge for all participants. This gives the grommets an opportunity to surf in all 3 contests, providing them with a variety of waves and conditions, and of course, have 3 times the fun!

Trophies and products from Billabong and other event sponsors will be awarded for each division, at each event, with the series winners also getting trophies and shopping vouchers of 2 million IDR each.

The Billabong Grommet Attack 2015 series is sanctioned by the Indonesian Surfing Championships and the Asian Surfing Championships, where the Under 16 Boy and Under 16 Girls division contestants will receive points towards the 2015 ISC / ASC Junior Championships.

The first event of the series will take place in Sanur on the 24th of May in cooperation with the Sanur Surfing Club. The primary location is Baby Reef, with the backup of Biaung Beach, depending on swell and tide conditions.
