Pancho Sullivan gets behind built-in bottle opener boardies called BBO, or "Boardshort Bottle Opener"

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 29 June, 2017 - Anyone who walked into a surf shop ten years ago likely walked out with a pair of Reef's bottle opener sandals. The design, endorsed by Mick Fanning, was one of the company's best selling items and helped many a surf shop through the financial crisis. Nevermind that the opener got clogged with dirt and whatever else you stepped on, the idea was a hit.

Fast forward to present day and now surf brand Island Daze, along with Pancho Sullivan, have launched a new and unique brand of boardshort designed with a built-in bottle opener that is attached to the pocket flap of the shorts.

The BBO shorts are a patent pending product that come in 5 boardshorts and a cargo hybrid walkshort with multiple color ways (14 styles in all). The shorts are made with 4 way and 2 way stretch fabrics. The Mako and Reel style boardshorts have an added feature of a plier pocket for fishing enthusiasts.

"The days of chipping your tooth, reaching for your dirty slipper or looking for a lighter to open your beverage are over," the company said in a statement. "Simply lift the pocket flap of your BBO shorts and enjoy."

The bottle opener attachment is extremely lightweight and does not affect your surfing, SUP or any other type of activities.

BBO Shorts are available in size 30 – 38 and retail for $48
