Dragon Names Brian Green As Surf Marketing Manager
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 11 June, 2013 : - - Dragon welcomes Brian Green to the team as its new Surf Marketing Manager. Effective immediately, Green will oversee all aspects of Dragon’s surf program, focus on building energy around the brand at retail and develop strategies to reinforce Dragon’s core initiatives and presence in the surf market.
“Dragon has been dedicated to surfing since the beginning, and I’m excited to join a team that is rooted in this culture,” said Green. “With arguably one of the best teams in the world, Dragon has a solid foundation, and I’m looking forward to working as a team to continue its momentum.”
Graduating from the University of North Florida, Green gained valuable experience shortly after as the Associate Brand Manager of Surfing at Nike. Working directly with the Global Brand Manager, Brian helped lead the way for Nike’s social channels, developing digital brand strategy in concert with providing team support and assisting with global brand directives.
“Brian is full of energy and has a lot of good, innovative ideas for Dragon’s surf program,” says Rick Irons, Dragon’s Global Brand Manager. “His experience in brand building and his passion for surfing are a perfect mix for Dragon.”
In addition to his long list of desk jockey duties, Brian will coordinate photo shoots and provide rider support for Dragon’s elite team of athletes including Shane Dorian, Mick Fanning, Rob Machado, Taylor Knox, Owen Wright, Ace Buchan, and Evan Geiselman.
