Angkasa Pura Airport. waves bye bye to plastic Bags

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 24 August, 2014 - Bye Bye Plastic Bags has reached yet another amazing achievement ... we are so happy, proud, wonderfully excited to announce that we have the full support of Angkasa Pura Airport. We went there on Thursday the 21st of August to check out a base where we could collect signatures, which we were so kindly allowed to do so in the waiting rooms, just before the people have to board their planes.

Here comes the amazing part of it all: On the same day, we got the final permission and confirmation from the GENERAL MANAGER - Ramdan Pradarma, that we were allowed to go inside the airport and collect as many signatures as we want. We had a wonderful meeting with Ramdan and he was so supportive that we literally glowed with happiness after the meeting. He said he was all in with us, he supports us 100 % and he would be happy to help in any way possible.

So now this is how we're going to do it: 1-2 times a week, (up to November, before christmas break can kick in) 7-10 volunteers will be assigned to come to the airport. We will get temporary passes so that we may enter and leave the airport with no complications.Of course we have to follow the rules and regulations of the airport so for safety reasons we will only be bringing a PEN and 1 PETITION board per person.

Then We will move up to the gates numbering from 1 to 10 in the international departure.
