Clay Marzo signs two-year-deal with Carve Clothing

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 6 January, 2014 - Maui local Clay Marzo is undoubtedly one of the best surfers in the world, his ability to pull off what are considered seemly impossible maneuvers with flare and a carefree abandonment is know & respected around the globe.

Like many professional surfers of recent years Clay fell victim to a surf industry looking to tighten it’s belt and after many years was dropped by his major sponsor, leaving a big white space on the nose of his board.

Carve have been Clay’s eyewear sponsor for the last 2 years and the association between the two has been nothing but positive, building the brand and working together launching them onto the world stage. Carve now sits in 32 countries and Clay is their marquee sponsored athlete.

The umbrella of Carve is growing rapidly moving into all aspects of the surf/lifestyle market and clothing was the obvious next step, offering quality products for mens, ladies, kids & toddlers at a price that won’t buckle the bank account.

Clay has signed a 2 year deal with Carve cementing his place on the Carve team of over 150 riders around the world. With plans for signature models of eyewear and clothing featuring Clay’s unique styling. A new Carve Visionaries ad campaign launching the new ranges of clothing & international photoshoots and video releases, Clay is set for a busy year ahead.

“We are super stoked to have Clay ride for Carve 100%, he is part of our family, we look forward to a big future together and feel Clay is the perfect fit for the brand.” Said Matt Whyte Director of Carve.

“Clay is the next level when it comes to surfing ability, he can do things that most of us could only dream about and some that we’d never even consider possible.” Said Trent Munro Carve Team Manager
