Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 14 April, 2014 - Costa Rican Leilani Maria McGonagle Cada made history with medals in both U16 (silver medal) and U18 (copper medal) categories.

Not only did she write ISA history by double medalling, she is also only 14 years old. With her strong finish, McGonagle helped boost Costa Rica's final ranking to number 11 out of 32. "I couldn't be more happy to bring two medals home and surf in two finals for my country," said an elated Leilani McGonagle.

This was the best result for Costa Rica in the ISA VISSLA World Junior Surfing Championships, in the country's track record.
