Burned out van with two bodies found in Sinaloa Mexico
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 30 November, 2015 - Dean Lucas and Adam Coleman from Golden Bay in Western Australia went missing last week during a van trip through Mexico. They are presumed dead after two bodies were found in a burnt out surfing van by the side of the road in Sinaloa Mexico, but no identities have been confirmed.
Dean’s girlfriend, Josie Cox, told AWW.com that Dean and Adam had traveled to Mexico in November. Throughout the trip they had been keeping in touch with family and friends through social media but then last Friday the messages abruptly stopped.
The two men were last seen getting off a ferry from Cabo san Lucas on the Baja Peninsula, with plans to drive to Guadalajara. "They had solid plans and a reservation to be in Guadalajara by Saturday 21 November but they never arrived," Josie told AWW.com.
Family members of Dean Lucas and Adam Coleman will be travelling to Mexico in the coming days with dental records and hair samples. They are working with the Australian consular officials and Mexican Authorities. They ask for privacy during this enormously difficult time. Family and friends have created a GoFundMe page to help with costs. To donate follow this link
The page states: "They are aware the van in which they were traveling has been located by Mexican authorities and that a tragic event has occurred. They hold deep fears for the safety of their sons but stress that they are still waiting for details to be confirmed. Until such time that the authorities confirm what has happened, the families respectfully ask the media to not speculate further."
