Electric Visual honored by SIMA for Accessory Product of the Year Nomination for the Electric iPhone Application

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 29 March, 2009 : - -  Electric Visual was recently honored with the SIMA Nomination for 'Accessory product of the Year' for the Electric iPhone Application.

Electric’s iPhone Application was officially launched Oct 9th, 2009 as the 1st application in the Action Sports Industry. The Electric iPhone application provides a direct line of communication to consumers via use of mobile phone.

Users of the application now have instant access to Electric’s latest news, Product range and color-ways, Current Advertising Campaign, Video Content, and most importantly a Global Dealer locator “Where to Buy” including GPS directions to Electric’s retailers.

With the phone today becoming a basic extension of the computer, the Iphone application has provided Electric another key outlet for brand communication, with the most important aspect being the ability to drive potential consumers to Retail Specific Locations.

The SIMA Image Award winners will be announced during the SIMA Surf Summit 12 (Cabo San Lucas, Mexico), May 6 - 9, 2009. SIMA Image Awards nominations were determined by a panel of industry experts, who reviewed and voted upon the entries received for consideration from regular SIMA members. A final round of voting among SIMA member companies and specialty retailers will determine category winners.
