Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 22 March, 2014 - The most valuable stage so far in the  ALAS Super Prime series went off today with epic conditions and high scores and by far the best waves of the event. The comp saw peeling 6-8 foot rights and lefts with the characteristic San Lorenzo tubes finally turning on. Rounds 4 and 5 were held in the best conditions of the day.

Of the more than 120 athletes who started the event, there are now less than 30 remaining whot will battle for the title tomorrow and $48,000 in prizes. 

Open In eight surfers who reached the quarter-finals tomorrow will compete defined as follows: CF1 Series 1: Diego Salgado (PAN) vs. Carlos Munoz (CRI) CF2 Series 2: Jonathan Chila (ECU) vs Jason Torres (CRI) CF3 Series 3: Francisco Bellorín (VEN) vs Lucas Madrid (URU) CF4 Series 4: Luisma Iturria (URU) vs Anthony Fillingim 

For the third consecutive day Carlos Muñoz (CRI) gave an impressive performances. "Cali" scored the first 10 points after exiting a tube and put an exclamation point on the ride with a high air against the Brazilian Felipe Ximenes.
