Saint Martin and Saint Barthelemy and their surf communities need help
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 6 October, 2017 - This summer has been one of the worst on record for hurricanes slamming into the Caribbean. The West Indies suffered greatly when hurricane Irma unleashed her fury last month.
The islands of Saint Martin and Saint Barthelemy and their surf communities felt the brunt of the storm. Eurosima, the European branch of the Surf Industry Manufacturer's Association, is launching a campaign to help the surf clubs of these Caribbean islands.
Dear surfing friends and ocean lovers,
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we found out about the complete destruction of several surfing clubs in the West Indies due to hurricane Irma.
True heroes of social bonds in the area, these clubs find themselves facing considerable material devastation and in dire need of help.
The islands of Saint-Martin and Saint-Barthélemy face particularly harsh damage. This is why, EUROSIMA and through it the entire European Action Sports industry is calling out for your assistance so we can help these clubs rebuild.
All donations will be sent to the three following clubs:
Reefer Surf Club of Saint-Barthélémy
Windy Reef Surf Club of Saint-Martin
Le SXM explorer of Saint-Martin
