Tradies from around the state ready for battle at Jan Juc

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 4 December, 2013 - The inaugural A&L Tradies Challenge will kick off this weekend at Jan Juc and will see the tradies from around the state battle it out for the title of top tradie.

Excellent conditions are forecast for the weekend with light winds and a decreasing swell.

Surfing Victoria Official Swell Forecaster Coastalwatch is calling for 3ft of swell all weekend with light offshore winds in the morning turning to sea breezes in the afternoon. With afternoon high tides, conditions will be getting better as the day goes on and will allow for some epic surfing for the finals.

The event will feature surfers such as Josh Johnson-Baxter (Ocean Grove), Tim Bennet (Torquay) and Dane Richardson (Torquay)

Johnson-Baxter placed 2nd in the TOLL Victorian Open Titles this year and is a well known surfer from the 13th Beach area.

The new surf contest will bring together tradies from all over the state to crown the A&L Tradies Champion. Open to all types of tradies, the event will consist of an Open Mens Division, Over 35 Mens Division and a Pairs Division.

Quiksilver will be providing $4,000 worth of vouchers for the day. The A&L Tradies Surf Challenge is presented by A&L Windows and Doors, Quiksilver & Surfing Victoria and Supported by Be the Influence, Team Up, Cancer Council Sunscreen and Play it Safe by the Water.
