Filipe Toledo launches FCS Performer PCC and MF fins to victory

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 20 May, 2015 - Rio, Brazil - Filipe Toledo has put himself one step closer to his first World Title by winning the 4th event on the WSL World Championship Tour; the Oi Rio Pro in Brazil. In the final Toledo defeated an in-form Bede Durbidge riding the FCS II Performer PCC and MF Medium templates.

The waves at Barra da Tijuca ranged from 2 – 6 ft with variable winds during the event window. The shifting peaks typically break fast on the hard compacted sand banks, and are unpredictable and quite difficult to ride. Early heats enjoyed hollow offshore barrels, later heats were prone to slight onshore winds favoring a more aerial approach.

Filipe used the FCS II Performer PCC Medium throughout the event for its reliability. This versatile fin offers a blend of speed, flow and response and is suited to a wide range of conditions.

On the days when the waves were bigger Filipe switched to the FCS II MF Medium template. This fin has a high degree of sweep, providing more control and a longer turning arc.
