100 years of surfing in New Jersey celebrated this weekend
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 2 June, 2015 - Manasquan, New Jersey - This Saturday the first NJ Surfing Hall of Fame inductees will be honored at the 2015 Saltwater Festival in Algonquin.
The New Jersey Hal of Fame was founded this year, hping to celebrate and preserve some of the state's rich, century-old surfing heritage. The Hall of Fame will induct 18 members, including Cecil Lear, Dick Meseroll, Dean Randazzo, and Bals Bill Yerkes
"Jersey Shore surfers from across the globe will be returning home and celebrating a shared history and culture," Kris Kopsaftis, the event organizer who operates NJ Surf Show stores in Manasquan and Lavallette told New Jersey's Newsworks.org
"The event promises to keep you entertained as we celebrate not only the inductees, but also our shared history in a jam packed, highly entertaining show," said Kopsaftis. "We promise a ton of surprises as well as guests from across the world coming to celebrate."
