Integrated multimedia exploration includes photography, film, book and gallery
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 22 October, 2013 : - - In a journey that transcends the sport, the theFINproject will explore the inspiring characters responsible for each new era in surfing: Tom Blake, Bob Simmons, George Greenough, the Campbell Brothers, Mark Richards and Simon Anderson. Their passion, drive, and creative minds have repeatedly revolutionized the fin – and shaped surfing as we know it today.
Through their stories, interviews with today’s innovators and pro surfers as well as breathtaking action footage, the project will look into the crystal ball of surfing to find out where, and from who, the next revolution in the sport will arise.
About the photogrAphs: The photographic study celebrates the fin as an art object, bringing the fin out of the boardbag and onto the gallery wall. Each dramatic photograph is a lasting conversation piece, enticing the viewer to wonder what stories each fin could tell and to reminisce about our own personal connections with the fin.

Who is theFiNproject?theFINproject was founded 2012 by Timothy Hogan, a Venice-based salt water addict, surfer and critically-acclaimed commercial photographer who’s lifelong connection with the ocean is being realized through the creation of this project. Timothy and a truly global team of talented individuals will bring this story to life in 2014.
