Australian-born but Irish-raised (his parents hail from Ireland, where he became a standout in the Irish surf scene), many feel powerful goofy foot Glenn Hall is owed the luck of both his homelands, after a string of injuries and unfortunate events have kept him from competition. Hall spent a decade fighting it out on the QS (in 2012 he won the Mr. Price Pro Ballito and was runner-up at the 2012 Nike 6.0 Lowers Pro) before qualifying for The Dream Tour in 2013. That year the rookie broke his back in round 2 of the Volcom Fiji Pro, against Jordy Smith, but was denied the Injury Wildcard to requalify in 2014. But Hall sucked it up, hit the '14 QS hard, and re-entered the CT ranked 34th
