GoldCoast Oceanfest 2016

Croyde Bay, Devon UK
17 - 19 June 2016

GoldCoast Oceanfest celebrating 18 consecutive years

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 24 March, 2016 - With new festivals popping up - and disappearing - like magic mushrooms, sustaining a successful long-running music event takes some doing.

Which is why GoldCoast Oceanfest, Devon’s biggest surf & music festival, the multi award winning celebrates 18 consecutive years of midsummer surf and music productions this year on 17,18,19 June in Croyde Bay.

Wake to the sound of the waves, take a sunrise surf or simply stretch into the day with morning yoga on the beach. Fancy a go at beach volleyball, coasteering, ocean swims or stand up paddling, well you can do that too.

After all the energy has been sapped and the midday sun is rising high, it is time to hit the Oceanside arena filled with delectable meal choices from our renowned street food vendors, sup on ye olde brews at the all new craft cider and ale tent, perk up at the Oceanside bar with ice cold ciders and beers on draught or suck on cocktails from our resident mixologists with a twist.

Take in the vista, sculptures, installations and fluttering flags whilst breathing in the ozone from the tepee tented chill zone.

Talking of zones, the adrenalin zones, slacklines, art workshops, circus skills and fitness tests with the local surf lifesavers must be followed by a bamboo massage as your final workout for the day. If you need a sugar rush – what about the new TEA & JAM tent with a second stage for acoustic sets may be your new hang out.

GoldCoast is famous for showcasing rising talent in its eclectic mix of sounds, as many may recall Ed Sheeran, Ben Howard and Bastille all headlined the sunshine stage in the years preceding their Brit Award wins.

The 2016 line up, headlined by DJ Fresh, ¢ and KT Tunstall, is once again ticking all the boxes with great names on the bill, perhaps even another Brit winner.
