"Fisherman's Son" takes best movie while "La Maestra" takes 'Best Surfer'
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 14 July, 2015 - The International Surf Film Festival in Anglet celebrated its 12 year this weekend at Chambre d’Amour, with 3 projection sites, open-air screenings, surfing, movies, art and concerts – all entirely free and open to the public. The event also announced winners from several categories of films gathered from both amateur and professional filmmakers.
Best Movie: The Fisherman's Son
Best short movie: Billabong Adventure Division Nazare
Best Soundtrack: Alombre
Best shooting: Factory Life
Best editing: Gathering
Best surfer: The Maestra
Public choice: Lost in the Swell
Special jury price for Headache
Since its creation in 2004, close to 200 films have been shown during the festival, offering each year an international overview of the best pictures from the surfing world. An international jury composed of members from the surfing world and the media will select 7 winners during the closing night’s awards ceremony.
