Peter Conroy charges big waves around his home of County Claire
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 5 December, 2013 - The latest surfer to join the Northcore surf team is accomplished Irish big wave rider Peter Conroy. Conroy, who was born and raised in County Clare on Ireland's west coast, has been cultivating a love of big wave surfing since the age of 16 from a solid foundation with his background in competitive swimming and life guarding.
Since those early days Conroy has honed his skills in the massive, heavy Irish surf continuing with his rigorous fitness and training regimes which includes being the Chairman of the Irish Tow Surf Rescue club where he trains other big wave riders in the art of jet ski control, rescue and safety.
Conroy said of joining the Northcore team “I’m very excited to work with the Northcore crew for future projects and pushing my limits further with the help of their excellent products"
