Three foot surf with onshore winds force Lay Day
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 15 July, 2014 - The J-Bay Open, stop No. 6 of 11 on the 2014 Samsung Galaxy ASP World Championship Tour, is on STANDBY. Lay days have been called for today and tomorrow and event organisers will reconvene at 7:00 a.m. local time (GMT +2) on Thursday 17 July.
Just six hours of competition are required to determine the 2014 J-Bay Open champion and Surfline.com, the official forecaster for the event, has predicted that solid overhead waves will fill in at Jeffreys Bay later in the week. When competition resumes the first heat of Round 5 will feature Josh Kerr (AUS) against Adriano de Souza (BRA) with the winner advancing to the Quarterfinals.
