Sol Republic announces winner of Julian's signature headphone
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 25 March, 2014 - In December Sol Republic and its Savior of Sound Julian Wilson launched a contest challenging their fans to design Julian’s next signature Master Tracks over-ear headphone. Three months and hundreds of entries later, a champion has finally been crowned. Luke Okay from Sydney took the top honors and a $500 cash prize with a contemporary, cartoon depiction of a skeleton beach party. This design incorporates Julian’s love of surfing, music, and celebrates having a good time.
“I love how the artwork turned out. The headphones look awesome,” said Julian Wilson. “I try and just keep everything really fun with my surfing and that is exactly what the design embodies.”
Lee Andrew Wilson from Bali and Charles Morano from Massachusetts were also chosen as the second and third prize winners, each taking home a custom pair of Master Tracks featuring their brilliant designs.
