Signed "Gamma" board purchesed online with all proceeds going to SurfAid

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 6 September, 2017 - In a record breaking 60 minutes, the signed Gamma board from Kelly Slater’s personal collection was purchased through a “Buy It Now” offer of $25,000.  This incredible turn around exceeded all expectations and will ensure even more families have access to clean water & sanitation, basic health care, and improved nutrition.

The board was purchased by a SurfAid supporter who has been a dedicated member of the SurfAid Tribe. SurfAid said it was stoked to have two of its strongest advocates work together to support their families in Indonesia.

"Thank you to SurfAid’s exceptional donor, Kelly Slater and Firewire Surfboards for this epic example of using a love of surfing to save lives," said SurfAid in a statement.

SurfAid added that two more boards will be up for auction at the SurfAid Cup Malibu launch party at Dukes this week with two boards to choose from:

1) Rob Machado Fish – as one of the few world class surfers who actually design and shape boards, this is a rare opportunity to own one hand-picked and shaped by the master himself.

2) Taylor Jensen TJ Pro – ridden by Taylor himself, this board is sure to bring some of the career stoke that led to 2 ASP World Longboard Titles, 6 North American National Titles, 3 Australian Titles and over 50 career victories to its new owner.
