Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 22 November, 2014 - Honolua Bay - With no surf on offer at Honolua Bay, event organizers have called a lay day at the Target Maui Pro presented by Schick Hydro Silk.
The final stop on the 2014 Samsung Galaxy ASP Women's World Championship Tour will see a conclusion to this season's thrilling world title race and three surfers remain in contention to take the title in Maui: Australians Stephanie Gilmore, Sally Fitzgibbons and Tyler Wright.
"There's something very special about Honolua Bay and I'm really looking forward to this contest," said ASP Women's Commissioner Jessi Miley-Dyer. "We've got small conditions here this morning and we are looking at something better during the waiting period so we're not going to run today."
Event organizers will reconvene tomorrow morning at 7:30 a.m. (local time) to assess conditions and make a call for the day.
When competition commences up first will be Malia Manuel (HAW), Johanne Defay (FRA) and Pauline Ado (FRA) in Heat 1 of Round 1.
