Your support at this year's silent and live auctions helps the California Surf Museum in its fund raising efforts to preserve our surfing heritage. This new exhibit showcases a history of women in surfing: performance, beach fashion and feminine mystique in the world of surfing. The exhibit features influential women surfers, cultural movements, a variety of important surfboards and surf fashion trends that changed the lifestyle sport forever. Many of these women had to overcome using heavy, unwieldy boards and uncomfortable bathing attire in order to pursue the sport they loved so much.
From ancient Hawaiian princesses to today's ASP World Champions, "WOW:Women On Waves" gives an historical glimpse inside the female surfing experience. The California Surf Museum thanks Roxy for the generous grant that helped fund the exhibit, as well as a support from Kona Brewing Co. and Luna Bar, which helped make this exhibit possible.
