Biolos enters one year contract with Hurley Surfing Australia Performance Centre

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 19 November, 2014 - Matt "Mayhem" Biolos is the newest board shaper to partner with the Hurley Surfing Australia High Performance Centre (HPC) in a one-year deal.

Mayhem has been working with many top ASP surfers such as Taj Burrow and Tyler Wright to refine and develop their shapes for critical performance surfing and have provided a 10 board test quiver for patrons to use during their time at the HPC.

The addition of Mayhem's shapes complements Darren Handley Designs (DHD) in the centre’s surfboard room and ensures all participants have a comprehensive testing centre with an extensive selection of board designs and shapes to utilise.

Situated at Casuarina in northern New South Wales, the HPC is the world's first facility dedicated to helping surfers of all abilities reach a higher performance level so they enjoy the full experience of surfing.

“We are super stoked to be involved with the HPC at this level and look forward to helping progress and enhance the overall athlete experience through better board design,” said Mayhem's managing director for Australia Dave Tarantini.

The HPC also provides an extensive selection of FCS fins so participants have a huge variety of equipment to experiment with.

“Surfing Australia is very pleased to bring on board another high profile credible surfboard shaper into our HPC board quiver program,” said Surfing Australia CEO Andrew Stark.

“This addition of Mayhem shapes is extremely complementary to existing shaper Darren Handley (DHD) and will provide an even more extensive range of high performance boards for HPC participants to utilise.”

The HPC is not just for elite surfers - it is for any surfer who wants to improve their surfing ability.
