Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 4 October, 2013 : - - The Quiksilver Pro France will enter its Final Day and had to relocate to the secondary location of Le Penon in Seignosse. Competition will resume with the quarter-finals at 2:30pm to crown a champion around 6:30pm local time.
Event No.8 of 10 on the 2013 ASP World Championship Tour, the Quiksilver Pro France has completed five rounds of competition between the two spots of Le Penon and La Graviere in excellent surf. With only two stops remaining after France, this event plays a vital role in the World Title race and requalification campaigns of the Top34.
"Unfortunately La Graviere was not really working this morning and we decided to relocate to Le Penon," Richie Porta, ASP Head Judge stated. "We're going to start with the quarters at 2:30pm and will go on with the semis and final to crown our 2013 Quiksilver Pro Champion later this afternoon with a higher tide and hopefully the best waves."
Up first when competition commences will be Kai Otton (AUS) against reigning World Champion Joel Parkinson (AUS).
The Quiksilver Pro France is scheduled from September 26 - October 6
