Robbie Goodwin and Nikita Pandelos shine bright in latest NSSA event

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 21 January, 2016 - The Southeast/North Conference kicked off 2016 with stop #6 at New Smyrna Beach. A nice day greeted the competitors with 2-3 foot waves and offshore winds and the kids were ripping. Several double winners were witnessed with newcomer Shawn Arthur, Jr taking his third win of the season in the Explorer Boys and he backed it up with a big victory in the Open Juniors final.

Robbie Goodwin claimed his first wins of the season triumphing in both the Open Boys and Explorer Menehuenes. Double winner Scott Seggerman took command in the Seniors and Super Seniors finals. Jason Motes was another standout capturing two first places in the Masters and Longboard.

Nikita Pandelos put on an expressive session in the Explorer Mens final en route to the win. Nikita also surfed a great heat in the Explorer Juniors final taking home second place to Charlie Current who locked up the win in that one on the strength of his first scoring wave which posted a solid average of 7.2. There was a new face in the Open Men's division by the name of Kael Farber and he had a standout first place victory in his first event!

Naturally it was the smallest divisions that were on fire at the event grabbing everyone's attention. Braeden Kopec took the win in the Explorer Super Groms division while also coming in a close second in Open Mini Groms to Pallidio Pelliccia who posted the highest heat totals of the day! Nicole Fulford was on fire in her Open Womens final taken the win with Eva Woodward taken second.

Evan bounced back with a standout winning performance in the Explorer Womens! Hannah Blevins took out the victory in Open Girls and Ava McGowan pulled off the win in the Explorer Girls.
