Kiwis continue to post good results across the board
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 29 August, 2013 : - - Paige Hareb, Billy Stairmand, Connor Baxter, and Annabel Anderson continue to represent their country New Zealand in a big way, posting great results in their events.
Paige Hareb has strengthened her position on the ASP World Qualifying Series with a fifth placing at the Swatch Girls Pro completed in France.
The result has elevated Paige to sixth on the ASP World Qualifying Series which is good enough to hold the fourth qualifying position for the 2014 ASP World Tour.
The final event of the year is the Pantin Classic in Spain which is a six star event that starts on Tuesday night (New Zealand time). Another good result at the Portugal event will see Paige qualify for her sixth year on tour.
Billy Stairmand has placed ninth at the Sooruz Pro completed at Lacanau, France yesterday (Monday 19th August). Billy lost out in the early stages of the final day going down in a tight heat to Oney Anwar (IND) and Balaram Stack (USA).
Billy had down second place for much of the heat after catching several long righthanders in the small 2-3ft beach break conditions. However it was the aerial game of Oney Anwar that stole the show (17.34) before Balaram Stack (12.47) came back with five minutes to go and landed a big backhand air reverse pushing Billy back to third on 12.10.
Connor Baxter (Starboard) and Annabel Anderson (Starboard) both notch another impressive victory at the Stand Up World Series Stop number 6 in Chicago over the weekend, winning both the long distance and overall.
