Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 6 May, 2014 - The Costa Rican Noe Mar McGonagle was crowned champion of the fourth stage of the ALAS Circuit's Reef Classic Pepsi Costa Rica presented by Kolbi.

The event concluded in waves of good size and form at Playa Hermosa, the beach known in Costa Rica as the national stadium for surfing. McGonagle had a hard road to the end of the event, winning over the best Latino in the world rankings, Carlos Muñoz, the former Latin champion Gabriel Villarán, and a top 5 competitor Jason Torres.

In the end it was McGonagle who was triumphant over the former Latin champion Rafael Pereira of Venezuela. It was a difficult heat for McGonagle, but the Tico superstar came out victorious with a 14.83 combined total over Pereira's 14.47.
