Northcore and Arrifana surf hostel in the Algarve form partnership
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 10 July, 2015 - British based surf and adventure sports brand Northcore have partnered with the award winning Arrifana surf hostel in Portugal’s Western Algarve to create “The Northcore summer house”. Located minutes from the famous surfing beach of Arrifana, which has been nominated as one of Europe’s most beautiful beaches, the hostel is recognised as one of the countries premium surf guest houses.
Nuno Viegas owner of Arrifana boutique surf hostel and head of Northcore sales for Portugal said “It’s a perfect marriage between two businesses that are connected by the surf industry”.
The new agreement combines the two companies goals to provide accommodation that stands out above the rest, representing a quality destination which fans of the Northcore brand will easily recognise and come to expect. The hostel was awarded with the excellence rating of 9.1 in the best guest review by Booking.com in 2014.
Matt Strathern owner of Northcore said of the new partnership, “We have been looking for a hostel destination to represent the Northcore brand on the continent which could become a recognised and trusted destination for our customers. The stunning region of the western Algarve has some of Europes finest surfing beaches which when combined with our continued investment and growth in the Portuguese market made the award winning facilities of the Arrifana surf hostel the perfect choice for Northcore. The “Northcore summer house” will be a hub for the brand, it’s customers and ambassadors and a gathering place for surfers from around the world. We plan on hosting summer season training camps for surfers to fine tune their fitness and craft in preparation for the big swells of winter along with hosted parties and events to share the summer stoke.”
