7th annual Surf Film Festival packed with good times

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 25 July, 2014 - South East Asia’s one and only surf film festival, Ombak Bali celebrated it’s 7th edition last weekend, wowing the crowds with three awesome nights crammed with fabulous films and great vibes. Hundreds of people gathered under the starry skies on Seminyak beach to watch the latest film premieres and meet the film makers and film crews.

Festival Highlights… 

The Salt Trail  
The Asian Premiere with director Mark Waters and film crew on hand to present a beautiful film packed with stunning visuals and epic surf from the crowded breaks of Bali to the remote Mentawai islands. 

Tierra de Patagones
A 6-month trip across the wilds of Patagonia, a journey of discovery as two brothers  search for new waves and fabulous adventures.

Out in the Line Up
An insightful film documenting the taboo of homosexuality in surfing.

Chasing Unicorns
Tai ‘Buddha’ Graham, chasing waves all over the Indonesian archipelago. 

Hawaiian, the legend of Eddie Aikau
One of the strongest and most personal surf documentaries of the last few years, exploring the life and legend of Hawaiin big wave surfer Eddie Aikau. 

As another edition closes out we wish to thank everyone for their support and give some very special mentions to our host La Plancha, who has welcomed the festival since 2011, as well as our returning partners Rip Curl, Billabong, Electric, Bintang and Jim Beam, and our newest partners Boardbox and Beach Hut.
