Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 15 June, 2014 - Seminyak, Bali, Indonesia - The long-awaited Ombak Bali International Surf Film Festival is just around the corner, and you'll be stoked with what we have in store for you this year. Once again the legendary La Plancha is playing host, so make sure to save the dates, 18, 19 & 20 July 2014, as this is one event you most certainly do not want to miss!

The 7th edition of the annual Ombak Bali International Surf Film Festival brings a fabulous line up of international surf films, with an insane variety of epic visuals, stunning stories and inspirational journeys. We guarantee that the Asian Premier of "The Salt Trail" is going to blow your mind. Award-winning director Mark Waters has created a truly stimulating film that will stir your soul and stoke the wanderlust in you, while showcasing some of the deepest & most epic tube rides all the way from the crowded breaks of Bali to the splendid isolation of the beautiful Mentawais.

"The Salt Trail" is just one of many mesmerizing films that will be shown during the Ombak Bali International Surf Film Festival, which starts each evening at sunset. Entrance is absolutely free and as usual we will follow nightly screenings with live music and DJ's so you can get your groove on right on the sands of Seminyak Beach. Head to ombakbali.com for more details. Full line-up available at the beginning of July.

Ombak Bali is a platform for national and international surf film makers to expose their films to an interested public. Ombak Bali also aims to promote awareness of social issues and the environment by screening inspirational surf films that go beyond the waves and into the very soul of surfing.

Sponsors for this event are: Rip Curl, Billabong, La Plancha, Bali High, Electric, Boardbox, Bintang and Jim Beam. With media support from Beat Magazine, WeLike Bali, Surf Time and Kuban.
