Ombak surf film festival selects new dates in its 6th year
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 5 July, 2013 : - - Last weekend bad weather sadly forced us to postpone the Surf Film festival, but Ombak Bali is very happy to announce new dates. 11 – 13 July. We hope mother nature, and the Bali Gods will be on our side and that the unseasonal rain storms that have been hitting the island will have moved on, leaving starry skies in their wake.
The most breathtaking selection of films ever to hit the festival’s big screen. From the thundering reef break of Teahupoo, to the frosty Arctic shores, these films capture the world’s biggest waves, inspirational journeys, breathtaking scenery and lots and lots of stoke from those who ride the waves, and those who film them…..Thrill seekers drawn together in friendship, respect for the ocean and a love for the raw beauty of nature.
Watch, spellbound as two young Norwegian surfers embark on an icy quest: Meet the surfer who made it into the Guinness book of records as he rode the biggest waves ever off the coast of a small Portuguese fishing village: View an environmental protest surf trip on the Canadian west coast: Be amazed by the stunning tricks of a blind skater.
Ten years of Tubes
