Duke's OceanFest  completes nine days of competition

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 26 August, 2013 : - - Waikiki, Oahu, Hawaii - About 1,500 Athletes From All Corners of the World Participated in This Years OceanFest.

Today the first ever Duke's SUP races were held that included course races and relay team races. Also completed was the Volleyball Championships and one of Duke's favorite sports Surf Board Water Polo.

The entire event was a success with over 1500 athletes competing in the nine days of events that mark the 12th year of this one of a kind event.

This was a beautiful historic experience that help to inspire all that participated in the spirit of Aloha that Duke Kahanamoku shared with the world.  It is not just about the sports we all love but about once again also sharing one of Hawaii's gifts to the world, Waikiki.

While in this sacred place people feel the mana of that land, the breezes that refresh us and the movement of the people and waves that inspire us. Duke would be proud of all the athletes that shared this experience with the World, as he did many years ago!
