Thirteen top boys' juniors hang with World Champ Joel Parkinson
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 30 April, 2015 - Coolangatta, Queensland - Thirteen of Australia’s top junior male surfers are being put through their paces by former World Champion Joel Parkinson at the Subway Summer Surf Camp at Casuarina in northern New South Wales.
The 13 surfers won the Under 18 divisions during the Subway Summer Surf Series held across Australia last summer and were invited to an all-expenses paid training camp at the Hurley Surfing Australia High Performance Centre (HPC) at Casuarina.
Parkinson, the 2012 World Champion and a Subway Summer Surf Series ambassador, surfed with the participants and took them through a video analysis of the session along with a question and answer session.

“The Subway Summer Surf Series has been a huge success and it’s great to see Subway® Restaurants supporting junior surfing in Australia,” Parkinson said.
“It’s good to see what the future holds and the talent we have. In Australia at the moment the talent level is amazing and from a Series like this you can tell Australian surfing is in good hands.”
