Patagonia Regional Sales Managers ready for sales season

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 16 July, 2013 : - - Since the arrival of Stefan Wahlen in July 2012, Patagonia Europe has been reinforcing its sales force and reorganized in 4 regions.

Patagonia Regional Sales Managers: 
 Fréderic Mouyade – France, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Benelux and Turkey
 Norbert Sandner – Germany, Austria and Eastern Europe
 Andrea Tomasini – Italy, Russia and Middle East
 Jonathan Petty – UK and Scandinavian countries

To support and invest in their key partners and dealers, Philip Lang in Germany and Andrew Foster for UK joined the team to work with clinics and education for the store staff. Julien Alauzen was hired in December 2012 as a Rep for North of France - one of their 4 key markets, with Germany, UK and Italy.
 
In order to grow the business and strengthen the brand on European markets, one key position to manage the Retail stores was created.
Dennis Meyers joined Patagonia Europe as Retail Manager Europe on March 1st, 2013.

Dennis is Dutch, has been working in the French Alps in Les Gets and les 2 Alpes in hotel chains and travel agency. These times in France allowed Dennis to get connected to the outdoor industry and then joined Peak Performance in 1998 up until today.

During his time at Peak Performance, Dennis had been responsible within the Benelux for a very successful development and implementation of the sales, marketing, distribution strategy and managing the Retail business (owned Stores, Partner Stores and Pro Shops).
 
As Jonathan Petty is now Regional Sales Manager for Northern Europe, Joakim Gip joined Patagonia Europe as Marketing Director Europe on 1st of April.

Joakim has a long marketing experience. As Marketing Director of H&M, he successfully implemented the values and communication strategy in the US. Joakim also hold different positions at IKEA US and Canada during 8 years.

During 4 years as a Global Marketing Director at Peak Performance he contributed to the growth of the company. With a great experience in Retail, E-com and Wholesale distribution, Joakim reinforced Patagonia European team.
 
Fiscal year 13 ended on April 30th and closed the best year ever for Patagonia Europe. With a small increase of a few percent vs. last year, the company has managed to close the year with a turnover of almost 43 million € and is now ready to move forward with a more substantial growth. Patagonia, Inc. globally closed its sales at US$575 million.
 
For the new fiscal year (FY14) starting with the Fall 13 bookings, Patagonia Europe has already achieved a +20% growth which is in line with the expectations to get to a 100 million € business in the next three years.
 
The focus next year will still be on the key markets – Germany/France/Italy/UK and obviously the Alpine region. Patagonia will invest to grow their own Retail together with opening new Partner Stores. The aim is to leverage the brand presentation to consumers across all channels.
