Mick sitting in second place with Jordy Smith and Joel Parkinson not far behind
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 12 June, 2013 : - - Bula again from Fiji. Kelly Slater has written new records into the ASP history books toady with his back to back wins in the Volcom Fiji Pro. Slater dominated the day from his first quarter final against Seabass Zietz right till the final hooter against Mick Fanning.
He scored the perfect 20 point heat score against Seabass then scored another perfect 10 point ride in the final against Mick. Three perfect 10 point rides in one day is some sort of record. Slater now leads the world ratings and for the first time in years he's stated he is seriously chasing a record breaking 12th World Title.
Mick is now sitting in second place with Jordy Smith and Joel Parkinson not far behind. It's certainly shaping up as an interesting Title race. I'll be loading up more images from today later tonight.
