Tireless documentarian of pro surfing, Joli, files report from Pipeline

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 18 December, 2015 - Pipeline, North Shore Oahu - Aloha from the North Shore. The World Pro Tour wrapped up today at Pipeline with the World Title race going all the way to the semi finals. When Mick Fanning was defeated by Gabriel Medina in the first semi final it all came down to the second semi-final between Mason Ho and Adriano de Souza.

When de Souza won and advanced to the final the 2015 World Title was his. He capped the win off by defeating Medina for the Pipe Masters Title endorsing his world title win.

Medina didn’t end the day empty handed as he’d accumulated enough points over the three Hawaiian events to win the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing trophy. de Souza and Medina made history today as the first all Brazilian final, the first Brazilian to win the Pipe Masters and the first Brazilian to win the Triple Crown. A pretty amazing trifecta.

I’m loading up images to this Gallery and also have a number of Hawaii 2015 Galleries so check them out as well.
