Peter 'Joli' Wilson says hello as Aussie events end
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 25 April, 2014 - Hi from a pumping Bells Beach. With Mick Fanning claiming his third Rip Curl Pro Bells Bell trophy, one of the most covered trophies on the world tour, the three event Australian leg of the WCT is all wrapped up. In the men's there were three separate winners with Gabriel Medina in the Quiksilver Pro on the Gold Coast, Michel Bourez in the Drug Aware Margaret River Pro in Western Australia and Fanning at Bells.

Medina still leads the world tour ratings but it's a tight race at the top. In the women's side to the tour Carissa Moore went back to back with her victory at Bells over last years finalist Tyler Wright. Moore and Wright had fought out the Western Australia final just two weeks earlier with a similar result so Moore leaves Australia sitting at the top of the ratings.
Jordy Smith hasn't had the results he wanted in this three leg series but he and Julian Wilson look set for a great year and wins for both of them are not far off.
I've loaded up this Gallery with the highlights of the passed 10 days at Bells Beach. There are still a few WCT crew hanging around Torquay and if the surf continues to pump like it did today, 4'-6' and light offshore winds I could be adding a few free surfing sessions to this Gallery.
