Wesselink has extensive marketing and communications background
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 20 August, 2015 - Protest Sportswear announces its recent hire of Anjet Wesselink, who joins the team as Head of Marketing, working from Protest’s headquarter in Warmond.
She brings several years of experience as a marketing and communications consultant, most recently from her time at a creative digital agency where she specialised in content strategy, digital branding and campaign management.
Starting her career as an event manager, she was responsible for the all-round organisation of large sporting events (snow, surf) and managing the marketing campaigns to promote them. Reporting to Sales and Marketing Director, Wesley van Wijnbergen, Wesselink takes over the position from the highly valued Martijn Jegerings, who has moved to Switzerland.
''I was instantly attracted by Protest's mission to enable people to ride more, a goal I can fully relate to,'' Wesselink said. ''My new position as head of marketing at Protest allows me to combine my experience and ambitions in marketing with my passion for boardsports in a perfect way.''
Speaking about the new appointment, Wesley van Wijnbergen said: ''I'm very pleased to have Anjet onboard. She brings a wealth of experience, but more important a great attitude. We're all board-sport enthusiasts and we love what we do - so we are very glad to have found Anjet who fully shares this attitude and passion.''
